DOBLE & STRONG

 

biography:

Doble & Strong showed their first body of collaborative works, First Born, in 2010 at Blockprojects, Melbourne. Both live and work in Melbourne, Australia and are unequivocally exceptional solo artists in their own right.

Robert Doble attended the Chelsea School of Art in London, Reigate School of Art and Croydon College of Art. In 2006 he won the Ergon Energy Central Queensland Art Award and was a finalist in the 55th Blake Prize for Religious Art and the Williamstown Tattersalls Art Prize. Doble’s work is featured in private collections in Australia, Japan, UK, USA, Italy and Spain.

Simon Strong has a Bachelor of Graphic Design from the National School of Design, Melbourne. Strong was a finalist in the 2007 Prometheus Visual Arts Award, Queensland and in the William & Winifred Bowness Photography Prize, Victoria the same year. Strong’s work is featured in private collections in Australia as well as in collections at Artbank, the NGV and Rockhampton Art Gallery, Queensland.
